Manchester City picked up three more points in their battle with Arsenal and Liverpool for the league title. A Daiki Hashioka own goal after two minutes gave the home side a half-time lead against Luton Town. The remaining four goals came after the restart. Kovacic and Haaland, from the penalty spot, extended the lead in the 64th and 76th minutes respectively, while Barkley scored for the visitors in the 81st minute. Doku and Gvardiol rounded off the scoring in the final minutes.
With this win, Manchester City have 73 points from 32 Premier League games and are top of the table with a game in hand. This Wednesday they return to Champions League action, where they host Real Madrid in the second leg of the quarter-final (9:00pm CEST).
